OMNIA HD vs N97 vs N82…

This test is based purely on my personal impressions of use and multimedia capability of 3 Products …
no stay to list the features well-known and easily traceable on their official websites!

OMNIA HD
N97
N82

Meaning:

the FULL TOUCH
The QWERTY TOUCH
CLASSIC CandyBar (still in the breach …)

Only thing in common, the Symbian operating system:
v5 for the first 2,
3rd for N82

HANDLING:

OMNIA HD: impressive, but the reduced thickness means that it is not that bad in the pockets of the pants, jacket, etc. ..
N97: smaller than Samsung, but “THICKER” … more than acceptable in my pockets …
N82 is undoubtedly the most confortable,but considering the different structures,the answer was obvious …

QUALITY OF MATERIALS:

OMNIA HD: Very well built, the plastics are solid and pleasant to the touch.
very satisfying!
Of course a real fingerprint magnet, hold a cloth with you ..

N97: Structure,compared to OMNIA,completely different, the device performs a lateral SLIDER
movement “Serious” truly impressive solidity and overall quality.
“remarkable”!

N82: mine is version BLACK, a beautiful “Barrett” slender, elegant, and free of squeaks ..
the face of those who said it was built with materials of low quality ‘…

Touchscreen:

OMNIA HD: People do not know what to say … the capacitive MY HD, scary!
Lucky??
Truly an abyss between this and the prototype i’ve tested months ago!
Sensibility and accuracy better than 2 IPHONE 3GS I “tweak” of …
NO COMMENT!

N97: Here we are at resistive nokia … without doubt one of the best
on the market! It needs more pressure marked
due to the different technology used, however, very sensitive and accurate!

N82: Touch?? What TOUCH …??? Only those beautiful blacks frets … so ’sexy … )

AUDIO QUALITY IN AND OUT:

OMNIA HD: tonality quite “closed” even though powerful, hands-free discreet ..

N97: more “open” sound! Handsfree most powerful.

N82: a middle way between the two regarding the tones,speakerphone like 97 ..

RECEIPT:

Unfortunately they are at a point where there is full signal FOREVER!
however, certainly do their duty as intermediately happens,
Knowing the “reputation” of their respective manufacturers …

GPS:

Even here, I could not do many tests,
but it is well known that the HD has an antenna position “SMARTER” …
In “normal situations”,it reaches its destination at all 3.

BATTERY:

Unbelievable but true, the N82 seems more ‘thirsty of 3 … : /
However, with a moderate use of the phone
2 days quietly will do all three!

PHOTO-VIDEO:

OMNIA HD PHOTO: photo quality is great,with plenty of excellent options available,
worthy of a digital camera!
LED flash single, but powerful.

OMNIA HD VIDEO: only model currently able to record HD in 1280×720!
remarkable! greatly appreciated the update that brought the audio into AAC (was AMR)
though the bitrate is quite low…

NOKIA N97 PHOTOS: The 5 megapixel Nokia are famous for being very powerful
and the presence of Carl Zeiss lenses, adds further quality ‘in the shots!
Compression algorithm adjusted admirably and overcomes many N95 and also the 82 (daytime)
Dual LED flash, very powerful!

NOKIA N97 VIDEO: VGA 640×480, fluid and free shots, quality of the image less than the HD,
but audio (AAC always) better (higher bitrate).

NOKIA N82 PHOTOS: Super tested, absolutely one of the best camera phone on the planet …
In low light conditions then, that Xenon flash is really FENOMENAL …!!!

NOKIA N82 VIDEO: VGA 640×480 very similar to 97, but with a focus even better …
Audio almost identical to 97,that VERY GOOD!

CONCLUSIONS:

I’ve never been in agreement with the various COMPARATIVE
seen recently in several foreign sites and not,
comparing “DIRECTLY” N97 and OMNIA HD…
Totally wrong!
Precisely for this reason I decided to add N82 and stress that:
Appliances are 3 FOR ALL TASTES …
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!
Each with unique features
to design, structure and performance …

Who wants to try an alternative to IPHONE 3GS,
the various Communicator
or simple phone NOT TOUCH,
will be NOT DISAPPOINTED from these 3 MONSTERS (in the good sense of the word)!

my vote is unanimous:

OMNIA HD:  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
NOKIA N97: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
NOKIA N82: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Allow me to make a special mention for N82 …
telephone presented in November 2007 and to date, able to compete
and in some cases, well overtaken, dozens of models “2009″
of all the major handset manufacturers worldwide …

N97 REVIEW !

today 17-06-09 (now is midnight),

i’ve played with the NEW N97 (flagship)

Here’s my impressions:

Good evening,

As someone remember ‘, I had already’ put my hands-on (a couple of months ago), a prototype (with the February firmware) of N97
(and thus, I take the opportunity to thank “STARS” … she will understand …),
Coming to the personal conclusion that
not entirely convinced, I would have expected a final version,
with many promised improvements on all fronts, SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE …

I put hand to the RETAIL version of ‘eagerly anticipated model of the Finnish house …

The improvements we have been and how …

1) The opening of the side is of an impressive quality’ …
strongly resistant to a feeling of solidity ‘that we do not take long …
The phone in general is ‘assembled in a flawless!

2) The TOUCH?
The first comparison always falls on IPHONE …
Yes, they are 2 different technologies (N97-RESISTIVE, IPHONE CAPACITIVE)
but I can assure you that the reaction ‘of nokia, is at those levels …

For example, ‘better than that (already’ very good) … the nokia 5800XM
while the “distance” varied significantly samsung, LG etc etc. …!!!

3) DISPLAY:
a show!

NO AMOLED, but
you must see it to understand …!
Do not add more.

4) EQUIPMENT:

There’s all that there must be!
Someone has’ complained about the LACK OF A CASE …
One can see that they had nothing better to referred to …

5) REPORT QUALITY-PRICE-PERFORMANCE:
I am not ‘to list the features’ of this device,

599 eur is not ‘a low price, but if you think that for a similar device should orientate on a HTC Touch PRO 2, you could see it from a different perspective …

Not to mention that N97 has a “class”, difficult to achieve …

Final Rating:

Unsurprisingly, the sales UNIT and ‘proved very different story than the prototype, leading to PUT on top of my personal RANKING OF NEXT DEVICE TO BUY, 
this “SUBSTANTIAL” device …!
(And you know that I spend so many at the hands …)

Council strongly to go and see it and try it “ON” …
lose and let the comments of many jokers, that the phone have only seen in photos, nor so well …

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
